While some of these tips are standard Internet or privacy practices, we do encourage you to read through the entire list. A minute or two spent now can help keep your account secure:
Purchase your account only from an authorized seller or the Official Guild Wars Store.

Never purchase a used account or an opened box.

Keep your user or account name and your date of birth private.

Guard details about your PlayNC "hint question."

Never allow anyone else to access your account.

Make sure your password is complex and do not share it with anyone.

Don't download executables; do not try to obtain alleged hacks or cheats.

Don't use bots or exploits.

Do not attempt to buy an account or access key for in-game gold or items.

Do not purchase gold or items for real-world currency.

Use real information when creating a PlayNC master account.
