Build Index, GvG builds
GvG team builds
(thanks to Lyne for getting this started!)
These builds serve as both historical interest and building points for new builds. Most are outdated in some form, so caveat emptor. Again, this is [b]your[\b] index, so please post with additions!
Builds In Use
Individual Ideas for Chaos -- Wednesday Casual ideas
Individual Ideas for Balanced Casual -- Wednesday Casual Ideas
Searing Flames 'Burning Ellies' -- Weekend Casual with a build
Balanced Interrupt Pressure -- Sunday/Thursday Team-Based GvG
Pressure Builds
These builds tend to be more balanced and rely on wearing down a team.
Balanced Interrupt Pressure -- by Lev (Jan 2, 2008)
Pressure depending upon mesmer/ranger interrupts of key defensive skills.
Mind Blast Pressure -- by ManaCraft (Aug 2, 2007)
Pressure built around dual Mind Blast Ellies.
Nature's Renewal Pressure -- by ManaCraft (Aug 2, 2007)
Enchantment/Hex denial.
Aussie PvP Pressure
and more on Aussie PvP Pressure tactics
-- by SirBunnz and Yobbo (July 24th, 2007)
A bit of hybrid, with general pressure followed by mini-spikes to get kills, One of my favorites, and a great way for people to learn roles...
Snare/Condition Pressure -- by Mister_abc (July 7th, 2007)
Pressure via AoE snare and damage
PnH's Balance -- (May 6, 2007)
A melee pressure build, with a paragon/shutdown mesmer midline. Heavy on offense.
Degen Hex -- by Demonclaws (May 1, 2007)
Another melee pressure build, with necro hexes for added pressure. Heavy on offense.
Individual Ideas for Chaos
A chaos build requires everyone to bring some form of damage, a self heal, and a run skill. Every man for him/herself against NPCs. Chaos quite often catches opposing teams by surprise, and can be surprisingly successful even against good opponents.
Individual Ideas for Balanced Casual -- by Lev
Wednsday casual GvG generally revolves around a balanced build that looks something like this. Take ideas from this thread for your casual GvGer.
Spike Builds
Searing Flames 'Burning Ellies' -- by Eddietheman
A popular choice for weekend pickups, this build abuses Searing Flames to generate mass AoE degen and spike damage and run skills to keep the battle moving on our terms.
Xen's Angorodon Spike -- by Ceolstan (Oct 17, 2007)
Necro blood spike -- can be very effective. This build is no longer effective as written (nerf of Oppressive Gaze I believe) but can still be effective with minor changes
Dancing Daggers Spike -- by Mister_abc (June 22nd, 2007)
Assassin spike for GvG or HA
