Getting into BONDAGE..., ... monking, obvsiouly.

Been considering the potential of Life Bond in pvp, and have a couple of questions to ask of bondage specialists:

1. How much damage exactly is diverted? Say you have a bonded character who is under some damage reduction stance or enchantment, such as Protective Spirit or Aura of the Lich. Will the damage to be diverted by Life Bond be calculated BEFORE such enchantments reduce it, or will it divert only the NET damage that finally gets through?

2. Balthazar's Spirit as an energy engine: Say you have high rank in Protection Prayers, and the character you have under Bond is suffering lots of little damage "death-by-papercut-style" such as Dual Shot ranger spike. Half of each little "papercut" is diverted to you, but the reduction from Life Bond (over 20 iirc at high Prot) is enough to bring it down to 0 so you don't suffer any net damage at all. Will Balthazar's trigger before the Life Bond reduction takes place, or does it only trigger on net damage actually suffered?
