2MOONs on Vista x64 - must be as Admin.. sigh...

My system is Alienware 5100 with Nvidia 8800GTX, and 4GB of ram.
2Moons crashes in the minilauncher.exe and setting compatibility on all exe's to Win XP SP2 does not help.
Can't find an update. A post here way back in August talks about some workaround, but that seems to be for after you get the thing going at all. Any idea on how to get 2MOONs running at all on Vista?
Oh ... look at that.. It's got to run as Administrator.. How rude.
