Equipment chart
The fact that magician clothes are even weaker than some common class equipments inspired the creation of this section. This chart gives you suggestions on what armours to wear as you continue your journey for money, power and happiness.
* Level 8: Not much to say. The level 8 magician clothes beat the level 1 equipment but they might be too expensive. If you can buy it, do so; if you can't, don't. Your skullcap should suffice for now, as Swimming cap requires money also.
* Level 10: Get a White Bandana instead of the raggedy old hat (or whatever it's called). You don't need magic defence at this point, as anything that attacks with magic will flat-out kill you in any case.
* Level 11: Get the common-class bodywear and bottomwear from Lith Harbour. Unfortunately for all you girls, you don't have any level 11 common-class bottomwears. Oh well, the level 8 bottomwear for Magician should do for now. Also buy a Korean Shoe from Kerning City if you want to.
* Level 13: All right, if you're a girl, might as well get the level 13 bottomwear. If you're a boy however, don't bother getting the robe as it has less defence than your level 11 wear and magic defence or INT are not important right now.
* Level 15: Don't bother getting the magician hat; get a Metal Gear instead since it has better defence. If you have the ores, upgrade it for that extra 2 defence as you will be using it until level 25.
* Level 16: If you're a boy, you can go buy the level 16 pants and the level 16 shoe from Lith Harbour now. If you're a girl, you only have the shoes, sorry.
* Level 18: All right, the level 18 magician top provides good defence, so you should get them. Don't get the pants since they have less defence than your jeans. Nothing much to say otherwise.
* Level 20: The hat has horrific defence so don't go get it. No hat upgrades, either. Aww.
* Level 21: The level 21 shoes are available at Lith Harbour so go buy them.
* Level 23: Don't even bother with the robe; split set has better defence.
* Level 25: Brown Bamboo Hats are available so rejoice and get it now. If you feel 3 defence is better than 3 LUK then you can buy a starry hat from Kerning but I recommend the Bamboo Hat.
* Level 26: If you're a male you can get Camo Pants from Henseys but no pant upgrade for girls, sorry. What's available for both genders though, are Whitebottom Shoes (also from Henseys). With 13 defence and +3 speed, this is a shoe you'll want to wear for a LONG while.
* Level 28: Yay, more useless robes for Males. Girls, however, lucked out... their level 28 gears are not robes so laugh, jump, shout, and wear them with pride.
* Level 30: At this point Sauna Robe is available. While it's quite expensive to obtain, it's very worthwhile as it has 10 avoidability (although it might not be that good for you girls as your next gear is better). Jesters are also available and, while they have less defence than Bamboo hat, I usually stick with a Brown Jester for the speed edge. It's a hard pick between Whitebottom Shoe or a Snowshoe but I picked Whitebottom. Unless you train in snowy maps, Whitebottom is better.
* Level 33: All right, devil robe / chaos robe is not worth obtaining as 10 avoidability > 2 defence and more useless magic defence(But you might want to get it for the INT or if you didnt get a sauna robe). Level 33 girl clothes, on the other hand, have a whooping 42 defence so that's worth replacing the Sauna Robe for.
* Level 38: At this point, you should be starting to fight magical foes now and then. Therefore, the extra magic defence begins to be helpful and Starlights have 6 more defence than Sauna Robe so wear that. Moonlight however, is utterly pathetic (I mean come on, it has less defence AND magic defence), so don't get that unless moonlight's apparence is making you ooze with joy or something. (Personally I think Moonlight make girl looks like she's in her mid-40s in terms of age, so... yeah)
You should start getting magician gears after level 40, so I'm not going to go into them now. Have fun
