===Well Funded Thief Guide===
Version 1.63

Note:
-The word "sin" is used as an abbreviation for "assassin".
-The word "Lvl." also means "Level"
-Mesos is the Maple Story currency.
-=[First]=-
---BUYING STARS---
As a well funded Assassin, you'll need good stars obviously.
-Have around a good 3 million to spend. Depending on what server you buy your stars, the prices will vary.
-Buy either Tobi or Icies.
|*Tobis*|
----------------------
Pros
-A little bit more damage will go farther when you begin to reach the higher levels
-Holds 1000 stars standard(500 more then Subi)
-Costs less to recharge
-A deep black cool looking star
Cons
-Costs alot more then Icys to buy a set
|+Icys+|
----------------------
Pros
-Holds 800 stars standard(300 more then Subi)
-Costs less then Tobis to buy a set
-Looks like a cool blue rocket
Cons
-Recharge more often due to the # of stars
-Costs more to recharge
---INCREASING ATTACK---
If you are extremely well funded (about 40 million), I don't suggest that you spend them on steelies but rather a Weapon Attack WG.
-A little more weapon goes a long way in the long run.
-A Weapon Attack WG will cost from around 13 million ~ 37 million (depending on server and weapon attack).
-This is only for those that are extremely well funded.
---CREATING YOUR CHARACTER---
Create your sin by first, rolling a dice that only gives you 4 Str and 4 Int.
-Don't worry about the amount of Dex and Luk right now.
-If you can't get Str and Int to 4, keep trying! It might take 20 minutes but that extra Luk stat will make a huge difference.
-=[Second]=-
Now that you have your perfectly built sin, begin leveling to become your job advancement.
-At level 1, you will start off as a Beginner class. We're working to become an Assassin so make sure you add your AP (Ability Points) accordingly
-At level 10 you will be able to make your first job advancement into a Rogue (the beginning levels of an assassin)
---TRAINING---
These are suggested monsters to train off of at these levels. This doesn't mean it's techniqually the best.
Lvl. 01 : Green Snails
Lvl. 02 : Green Snails
Lvl. 03 : Blue Snails
Lvl. 04 : Blue Snails
Lvl. 05 : Shrooms
Lvl. 06 : Shrooms
Lvl. 07 : Shrooms or Orange Mushrooms
Lvl. 08 : Shrooms or Orange Mushrooms
Lvl. 09 : Shrooms or Orange Mushrooms
Lvl. 10 : Slimes or Orange Mushrooms or Pigs
---SKILL DISTRIBUTION---
As a beginner, you'll start off with three convienient skills at hand.
Lvl. 01 : +1 Recovery (1)
Lvl. 02 : +1 Recovery (2)
Lvl. 03 : +1 Recovery (MAX)
Lvl. 04 : +1 Nimble Feet (1)
Lvl. 05 : +1 Nimble Feet (2)
Lvl. 06 : +1 Nimble Feet (MAX)
---AP DISTRIBUTION---
I will use the format (+X "Dex", +X "Luk"). This is considering that you have 4 STR and 4 INT
-At this point you should have 4 STR, XX DEX, 4 INT, and XX LUK.
-The reason that the number of DEX and LUK does not matter at this moment is because it will soon be modified.
-I cannot provide an in-depth AP Distribution guide at this moment because of some slight dice rolling issues. Not all characters will start off the same.
-For the moment, the best build is as follows...
-Continue adding DEX to your character until the DEX Lvl. reaches 25.
-After you have reached 25 DEX, begin adding LUK.
-Do this until you have 37 Luk
-Your AP at Lvl. 10 should be 4 STR, 25 DEX, 4 INT, and 37 LUK.
---JOB ADVANCEMENT---
Congratulations on leveling to 10. By now you should have 4 Str, 25 Dex, 4 Int, and 37 Luk.
-The next step in your journey is to become the Rogue!
-Go to the main island (Victoria) by boat from the town Southperry.
-Search for the Ticket stand and travel to Kerning City.
-Find the Jazz Bar.
-Talk to the Thief master, and congrats! You're now a good built thief.
-=[Third]=-
---PATH OF A ROGUE---
Now that you're a Rogue, what do you do? Buy your equipment!
-First purchase a claw to throw those stars you have (Tobis or Icys)
-Do not buy the Lvl. 10 equipment. It'll be a waste considering you'll level to 15 quite quickly.
---AP DISTRIBUTION---
Now that you're a Rogue, you have to know how to build your sin correctly so that it can perform to the best of its abilities.
-Basic sin "build" is to have the DEX level be 2 times your level. (EXample: A level 25 sin will have 50 DEX). The rest will be put into LUK.
-For those that are still having trouble, I've added a basic chart of how to add your stats
Lvl. 10 : +5 LUK (42)
Lvl. 11 : +5 LUK (47)
Lvl. 12 : +5 LUK (52)
Lvl. 13 : +1 DEX (26), +3 LUK (55)
Lvl. 14 : +2 DEX (28), +3 LUK (58)
Lvl. 15 : +2 DEX (30), +3 LUK (61)
Lvl. 16 : +2 DEX, +3 LUK
and so on and so forth...
---SKILL DISTRIBUTION---
Now that you're a Rogue, you'll have some new skills at your disposal. But which one to master first?
Lvl. 10 : +1 Lucky 7 (1)
Lvl. 11 : +3 Lucky 7 (4)
Lvl. 12 : +3 Lucky 7 (7)
Lvl. 13 : +3 Lucky 7 (10)
Lvl. 14 : +3 Lucky 7 (13)

Lvl. 19 : +3 Keen Eyes (5)
Lvl. 20 : +3 Keen Eyes (MAX)
Lvl. 21 : +3 Nimble Body (6)
Lvl. 22 : +3 Nimble Body (9)
Lvl. 23 : +3 Nimble Body (12)
Lvl. 24 : +3 Nimble Body (15)
Lvl. 25 : +3 Nimble Body (18)
Lvl. 26 : +2 Nimble Body (MAX), +1 Disorder (1)
Lvl. 27 : +2 Disorder (3), +1 Dark Sight (1)
Lvl. 28 : +3 Dark Sight (4)
Lvl. 29 : +3 Dark Sight (7)
Lvl. 30 : +3 Dark Sight (10)
---TRAINING---
Here are some monsters I found suitable for both types of stars in training. They might not be the best as of now but I will update them as soon as I figure out the damage stats when I play.
Lvl. 10 : Slimes or Orange Mushrooms or Pigs
Lvl. 11 : Slimes or Orange Mushrooms or Pigs
Lvl. 12 : Orange Mushrooms or Pigs

Lvl. 22 : Green Mushrooms or Blue Bubbling or PQ
Lvl. 23 : Green Mushrooms or Blue Bubbling or Horny Mushrooms or PQ
Lvl. 24 : Green Mushrooms or Blue Bubbling or Horny Mushrooms or PQ
Lvl. 25 : Horny Mushrooms or PQ
Lvl. 26 : Stirges or PQ
Lvl. 27 : Stirges or PQ
Lvl. 28 : Stirges or PQ
Lvl. 29 : Stirges or PQ
Lvl. 30 : Stirges or PQ
-Remember, these are only recommended training areas. You can train off anything else but Stirges will be a major factor in your money needs.
---EQUIPMENT---
So wondering if you should get those shiny pair of pants?
Lvl. 10 : Get a Garnier. Nothing else is needed.
Lvl. 15 : A Night suit (top and bottom) and Theif Hood. New shoes. No new glove or claw is needed yet.
Lvl. 20 : A Pao suit (top and bottom) and Loose Cap. New shoes. New gloves from Nella quest. No new claw yet.
Lvl. 25 : A Sneak suit (top and bottom) and a Brown Bamboo hat. A NEW CLAW!!! The Meba is a must. Once you get your hands on this, scroll it with 7 100% Claw ATK Scrolls! No new gloves or shoes.
Lvl. 30 : A Steal suit (top and bottom) OR Sauna Robe. Stick with the Bamboo hat. No new glove, shoe, or claw yet.
---TIPS TO LEVELING 25~30---
At level 25, there are two ways to train: PQ or Subway.
PQ is fun but the wait is long. The rewards are great and there is good exp.
-Though you have to wait for it, items you recieve can sell for tons! (Example: 10% DEX Scrolls sell for tons in the MS market)
-If you PQ load up on stars and buy about 150 blue pots to use, because you don't want to be wasting
too many stars on Ligators, but rather Slime King.
-Find a leader that has fast clicking skills, track, or even an AC.
-During PQ Last Stage, stay away from the Curse Eyes, GO SLAUGHTER THE NEKKI's FIRST!!! That is priority #1!!! Don't let anyone touch those Nekki's, they're an easy kill for alot of exp!!!
If you chose to train at the Subway, pass the Blue Bubblings and into the Stirge map [Subway - Transfer Area].
-I recommend the Upper Floor out of the two floors because it is less walking distance.
-You should have that healthy amount of stars and about 400 blue pots to start out with.
-Don't worry if you can't 1 HKO Stirges all the time. Just use another L7 and they should die.
-The great thing about Stirges is that they have a high pot drop rate. So you should be benefiting with Orange pots while your Blue pots won't decrease as fast as you think it would.
-They also drop Equipment and other things like no tomorrow. Great place to just let out your anger and slaughter a few thousand Stirges.
-This is where your healthy supply of stars will come in. By the time you're
done using all your Blue pots and the Lemons that the Stirges drop, you should be around 300, if not less,
stars.
-Make sure that you are a safe distance from Stirges when you are using L7. You don't want to hit them,
they'll follow you like the blood sucking rats they are.
If you want, switch between PQ and Subway for a kill of boredom, even though not watching the Missile Icy's chase the Stirges isn't cool enough (make sound effects for the L7, it'll kill some boredom)
-=[Fourth]=-
At level 30 (which probably only took you 9 hr's to level to), you are now ready to advance to either a
Bandit or Assassin. Yes you can go either way, but, if you are going to be a Bandit, sell your stars after
you're done Maxing Savage Blow. If you're going to be a sin, I recommend another set of Tobi, it'll come in
handy.
-Keep that +7 Meba of yours until level 45, then sell it for about 350k.
-Try to find a +Dex Sauna Robe, if you can't, then up your own to +10 def.
-Your Dex at level 30 should be 60, and you should have the follow skills maxed: Lucky Seven, Keen Eyes, and Nimble Body. Dark Sight shouldn't be maxed but you won't be using it that often.
