UW and FoW finally done, spoilers on UW

Hey Folks,

4 intrepid Basiners and their at times stoopid hero's went off to brave the Underworld....yes it was time to free Grenth from the evil clutch of the demonic hordes. This was my first time trying to complete UW and Doom, Boo and RakimB were silly enough to volunteer their bodies as meat shields while I ran away screaming, they hurt, they hurt oooh he is big and ahhhh.

Last week or so we ran the FoW with the build just as a training excersice really, Boo kept us up admirably and Doom learned the fine art of pulling large mobs to us away from the even larger mobs. Were bolted through the FOW with no problems and the chest was ours at one stage I think we had every monster in the burning forest beating on us at once...they killed Lyvia may she rest in peace...meanies. We beat a tactical retreat then went in and revived Lyvia and beat them into the dirt.

The UW is a different proposition...it's scary, some of the quests are stoopid hard with the team having to split and both do damage. Pulling mobs and positioning seemed the keys to survival. Doom did a great job pulling while Rakim and Boo were just awesome as monks...watching Boo tank a bunch of coldfire nights while we are killing another bunch was a highlight . We began with the free the reapers quest and decided to clear the chaos plains...clumsiness spam anyone...boy is that annoying, those darn mindblade scepters are there in plague proportions. Then it was time for the 4 horse men, this was the quest we were worried about and the normal point of failure in UW. 4 mesmer bosses (yes they have powerblock AND diversion) unite with a bunch of meteor showering dryders to come at you and the reaper from 2 sides o.O. Doom and Boo took on one side alone while Tyler and I (we had all the hero's ) took on the other side. All I remember was calling Dryders for the heros to target and spamming crazily while trying to dodge meteor showers and thinking how in the heck is Doom going over the other side because this is crazy even with 6 toons and full consumables up. We finally cleared our mob and ran over to help Doom and Boo....they had kindly left us 2 driders and 1 almost dead boss and another healthy boss out of 6-8 driders and 2 nasty bosses. They were awesome, spell breaker ftw . The quest was done.

Then the ice king, basically kill loads more driders, although by this time we had that down pat...was a close shave when we all ran off to get the quest only to have another group spawn and run to the reaper and the ice king...if one of them dies your out of the UW. Once again Boo tanked them and healed the ice king while we killed our Driders and then ran over to help out. In the end all was well .

The rest of the quests went by in a blur as me marched our way through the UW slaying everything in our path and finally the chest was ours .

Massive thanks to Boo (the super monk with pain inverter...at least this time he left the Ursan bear at home), Tyler the super healer, I still have no idea how he kept me alive...that is no simple task as I tend to just stand there spamming spears while going ohhhh why am I not seeing yellow numbers??? oh im on the ground getting smashed by 4 meteor showers...oops . Doom who ran up poked things with his bow then switched to Ursan bear and proceeded to totally own stuff. He would gather perfect aggro only for Lyvia to run up shouting your not going to hurt my big hairy man bear friend and promtly break it. Apparently Doom in his bear suit is prettier and more deserving of her healing hands than my paragon in his shiny silver armor...can anyone figure girls out . I was on the paragon shouting at everyone with a core of paragons and Tyler had souske as savannah heat ele with a glyph sac meteor shower (which Tyler somehow microed to great effect while keeping me healed). Livia was a standard necro rit healer with dark fury to boost the paragons adrenaline gain.

All in all it was an awesome build which made a complete mess of the foes in NM...now for HM
