A PvP Dervish build - The Flying Mystic Bomb, feedback requested
My new love is called the Dervish. It is so versatile, has so many interesting options….I’m pretty sure there will be intense nerfing sometimes soon.
Here is a build that I designed (probably others have too…) that relies on a « teleporting human bomb » strategy. It’s intended for organised PvP (TA, HA, maybe even GVG) and its obviously a gimmick build….however it looks like lots of fun.

Wind Prayers 16 (12 + 1 + 3)
Mysticism 12 (9+3) or 9
Earth prayers 9 or 10
Energy gear setup - you can get it to 41-43 – even more with just 2 pips on a switch
Skill setup (use this order)
1. * Aura of displacement (elite)
2. Faithful intervention (mysticism)
3. Aura of thorns (earth prayer)
4. Heart of fury (mysticism)
5. Grenth’s fingers (wind prayers)
6. Mystic Twister (wind prayers)
7. Mystic Sandstorm (earth prayers)
8. Res signet / mystic healing / other utility
Basic tactics. Fathful intervention on you since start (no time limit). When you approach the enemy do Aura of thorns then heart of fury. You now have three enchants on yourself.
Target (weak armor) is called. Do aura of displacement on him, followed by Grenth’s Fingers, Mystic Twister and Mystic Sandstorm. That’s all – takes 2,25 secs and the damage you just did is huge – and you are also back at your starting position.
For a single bomber and a standard 60 armor target ….lets see the damage :
Genth fingers – about 80 cold damage
Mystic twister – 131 cold damage
Mystic sandstorm – 130 damage
All three of those were applied to all nearby foes. The last 2 were also applied to « in the area ».
And you also applied crippled, fire and bleeding to all nearby foes at the end…..
Now assume you had 2 nearby foes and 2 foes in the area (plausible).
That’s a total of 2 * 340 + 2 *260 = 1200 damage on the enemy team in about 2 secs… ! From a single character ! and without counting the conditions.
Of course this is not armor ignoring and will be cut down by armor…yet imagine 4-5 such « flying dervish mystic bombs » exploding in the middle of the enemy group in TA or on the altar in HA!
I’ve tested it on the targets on nameless and it was really impressive ….one single run eventually (conditions) killed 3 targets and left 2 others at 15-20% life. On RA it worked decently – however it’s hardly conclusive for a spike like build.
Having a way to kd the target(s) or to slow them (shadow prison ? Thumper ?) would surely help.
I’d love to test this build in a 4 bombers TA team this weekend. For HA there should be modifications – mosty I’d set a Mo/N support char spamming Aegis, Orders and Dark fury (even low specced) both to act as energy machine for the dervishes and to free 2 slots on their skill bar…..or maybe some Unyelding Aura + Death nova setup ?
