Is JoyMax REALLY going to do a botban?

When I first started the game about a year ago, they rumored to have done this once. Here it is now after a week or so about a war on bots, without any follow up or action from Joymax.
I'm starting to think that Joymax actually is seeding the servers with bots and goldbots to increase silk sales, and partnerships with goldbot companies to make even more money.
I'll stop at an area to level, and I'm usually fighting through a mad ant hill of botters.
