There are two ways to get SPs (skill points): by killing monsters and by quests (not all quests give SP rewards though). Farming and SP parties help you to get even more SPs. You also can buy SP tickets from Item Mall (F10) that increase the SPs you get by killing monsters.

The yellow bar at the left bottom of your screen represents the percentage of the next skill point that is going to be gained. When the yellow bar gets full, you gain a skill point. The number of your current SPs is displayed with yellow numbers next to the bar.

Skill window

You can access the skill window by pressing S (by default).

Mastery level of each skill can be up to your level. If you have the required skills points that are needed for leveling up the mastery, then a button appears. Skills that can be leveled up have a button under their icon. When a skill reaches its maximum level, a sign appears under its icon.

To see a skill's info or what each skill requires in order to be opened, place your mouse over it. Requirements that are not available at the time are displayed in red.

The amount of the skill points you have, is displayed in yellow at the left bottom of the skill window. Next to them, in light blue, you see the mastery level total.

Mastery level total is displayed in a x/x form, where at the left is the sum of all the mastery levels and at the right the maximum amount of this sum you may have. That means that you can't full level up all the masteries, but you have to choose between the masteries that you want to level and how much.

Using a skill

Most of the skills are used during a battle and they last for a small amount of time. Skills that last 300 seconds or more are called buffers (or buffs) and they affect more generic abilities. Every mastery has also its passive skills. Passive skills are activated once you open them for a first time and they permanently change an ability.

Τo use a skill, you have to right click on it, but the most common (and easier) way to use skills, is by the quickslots. Choose the skills you use more often and drag them from the skill window to the quickslots, so you can access them just by pressing their quickslot's number. Usually, the battle skills are placed in the F1 quickslots and all the buffs in another F number.

To remove a skill from a quickslot, just drag and drop it. When you level up a skill that is placed in a quickslot, you don't have to drag it again, it is automatic replaced.

Chinese skill types

There are 2 main skill categories: Weapon skills and force skills.

The weapon skills also called physical skills, because they do physical damage. The highest your str, the more powerful your weapon skills are. There are 3 weapon skill masteries:

Bicheon: For swords and blades
Heuksal: For glavies and spears
Pacheon: For bows
The force skills also called magical skills, because they do magical damage. The highest your int, the more powerful your force skills are. There are 4 force skill masteries:

Cold
Lightning
Fire
Force
