The Nine Dragons
Each of your Monsters get +20 attack.” This item makes every Monster in your deck deal an extra 20 damage when it attacks. You can have many copies of this in play, each giving a bonus. Turning your Red Snail into a 30 or 50 attack powerhouse is as fun as it is powerful. Like most Warrior Items in set one, there are two ways to go about getting this into play: the hard way and the easier way.

The hard way to get this into play is to rely on Thief cards. Thieves get Items into play faster than anyone. Use Ivan’s character ability or Croco’s, level-up ability to Equip X. Those abilities let you play any item of your level or less. You could set yourself up to maximize your turn four and five Monsters by playing The Nine Dragons with them and beating down.

The main difficulty with this strategy is that you must have at least one Warrior level up to play any Warrior item, so that means you’re playing a dedicated two-color deck. Using two colors in your deck can potentially increase the power level, but it comes at the risk of not drawing enough of either color to make use of your best level-up abilities. Croco’s Equip X costs 30TTT… but you also need a Warrior level-up somewhere to play The Nine Dragons. This means the “real” cost is 40TTTW, which is a lot to ask for. Assuming a 40 card deck, you’ll want to play at least 15 Warrior cards to pull this off.

The easier way is to play with all Warrior cards. By sticking with one color, you ensure that you will always be able to play this when your Equip abilities are active. The problem with this strategy is the fastest way to get this into play is with the level-up abilities of either Green Mushroom or Yeti & Pepe. Both of them require at least 70WW or 70WWW, meaning that it is almost impossible to get it into play before turn seven.

Almost impossible? Well, there is an ability called Train Hard on a Warrior Monster… but that is another article.
