When you are just starting out in the MMO, Red Snail is a monster you encounter pretty early. While they are unlikely to cause serious harm to your character, they do get in the way. The same can be said about its Monster card in the iTCG. Lets examine the two parts of this card…

When you play Red Snail as a Monster, you are causing headaches for level-up damage strategies. Because character actions do not damage it, your opponent must spend a Tactic or waste a turn attacking it with another Monster. In the meantime, you can peck away with 10 damage of your own.

If you want to get the most out of this strategy, you could dip into Warrior’s items and play a Battle Shield. That item gives each of your Monsters +20HP, forcing your opponent to use even stronger Monsters to take yours down. Even though you want a Warrior item, Thieves have the easiest time getting Items into play. You could equip the Shield using Ivan’s character ability.

When you level up with Red Snail, you are setting up for a great turn seven. 70TT gives you Spawn 90, enabling you to play every single Monster in the first set. Sticking with the Warrior theme, you could play the mighty Tauromacis or Yeti & Pepe. If you wanted to only use Thief cards, you could put Buffy or Soul Teddy into play and demolish your opponent’s plans.

If you want to survive long enough to Spawn such massive Monsters, be sure to put cards you can play before turn seven that will help you get there. Consider cards like Double Strike (to remove your opponent’s biggest Monster) or Cico (to cause a discard and to fight against early Monsters).
