problem summoning pet Empty problem summoning pet

I have used the pets previously but am unable to get them currently. I have the skill for 2 different pets in the hotkeys slots. I try repeatly to summon them without any luck. I logged in & out and restarting game still with no luck. Anyone know how to fix this problem would be appreicated
