Interesting discussion

I had a very interesting discussion with the guys this morning about fusion energy. I didn't know this, but when the experts have cracked how to make it work, they can supposedly harness enough energy to power Chicago for 1 week from 1 glass of water, making energy very very cheap.

My only worry is that water will eventually run out... they assure me it would take thousands of years for this to happen, and we could do with losing an inch or so from the sea level in the next few hundred years, right? But if they were to announce it tomorrow, the economy would be in turmoil for one thing. Electricity would be soooo cheap, the oil companies would go out of business, not to mention many other industries, just imagine what that would do to global finance.
