This is coming from someone who has spent less than twenty-five games in GVG, but th facts are sound.
What makes this difficult is the amount of enchantment swapping and complicatedness of how it operates. It works beautifully without the complicatedness, but it works better when the team uses all the skills I need to outline.
What I know I need are:
3 Warrior/Monks
2 Monks
2 Ranger/?
1 Necromancer/Ranger
This build for the team is TOUGH to outline. In fact, the amount of thought I've put into this borders on obsession.
It would literally take hours to type it all into one forum, and so I should ask first if it is alright to make several posts all pertaining to this team build. Since the builds I'm going to outline are fairly self-contained and don't defeat themselves, they could translate into Team Arena use for 4-player teams. But the 8-person party works best because of the synergy.
So, How should I go about this? I don't want to sound selfish, but I almost don't want to put the team build out where anyone can use it. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen it in TA or any of the GvGs I've been in. It is a compilation of skills I have payed alongside of and builds I have read online or heard discussed in TS or typed over guild chat.
How the builds are played is important, but I don't want to force someone into it immediately for a match. Each build functions well in PvE, especially in the harder zones of the game. So I would recommend practice for each person who wants to try it. Also, being able to play more than one of the builds is good so you have a feel for how a teammate is doing in the game. There are some strategies I would like to outline outside of the GvG which would work great and are easy to learn, also kind of fun to do.
All of this would be a Novel to read all at once, which is why I would like some kind of permission or suggestions in putting each build into it's own thread or something. I don't know how this board works and am tempted to post it over at the forum at my site and posting one thread with links. If that is a good idea, tell me. If I can put it all here, tell me. In any case, I hope to play alongside many of you with this team idea, and that you can have fun playing the builds outside GvG or in your own GvGs.
So... Now what? http://www.theamazonbasin.com/gw/forums/index.php?showtopic=4086
