So anyways the basic way this is played is split from the start, 4-3 with a dedicated Flagger. Top 4 are out front and rely upon consistent enchant removal from the Assassin (Prot spirit Spirit bond) to allow the Dervish large numbers. The split is nearly the same as the split in Lev's post except I swapped out a sword warrior for a DPS axe warrior. Cleave over Evis is because the warrior is not restricted to having 3 attacks in which to apply deep wound and kill, but rather a constant dps of Cleave to overmatch healing (as long as ranger helps).
The build is designed to Split, and playing 8v8 is not intended... ever. Even at VoD, the split team is to stay in and around the GL area to force healers to stay back. This allows the top 4 (and now the rit as well) to power through NPCs at VoD (Between Weapon of Shadow, Prot Spirit, Shielding hands, Ancestor's Rage, Splinter Weapon, and [hopefully] Knights/Footmen with Strength of Honor; NPCs shouldn't overwhelm the team as long as proper agro management is used and should be killed quickly).
By splitting and still having a dedicated flagger, it forces the other team into an awkward split. Monks are meant to be seen in tandem generally, and making it so they must either send a monk back (to allow their flagger to flag) or to give up boosts (and allow our flagger to Ancestor's with the top 4) puts teams in a precarious position.
Also a word to the 3 man split, only the ranger has a speed boost, however the split is not a split in the most general of terms. It is a seperate entity to that of the main team that is not about harassing the enemy base, but about killing the Guild Lord.
